  1. That sums up the whole argument we have been having about AAA now. If you have to have 2 divisions of Tier 1, it is not Tier 1. To satisfy the market, let's just make everything a division of Tier 1. Problem solved.

  2. I always wanted the rinks to have a Polaroid camera on hand to create a "wall of shame" with a picture of every person ejected over the course of a season.

  3. I had a crazy mom screaming at us officials as well as players from both teams - and it was obvious who her kid was. At a face off I had just about had enough of her and was tuning to take care of the "situation" when one of the centers says."Hold on ref I got this".... He backed up a few feet and yells, "MOM! Either shut up and watch the game or go sit in the car before you get tossed out again!" The rink went silent, then a few laughs, then people applauded. We had no further issues the rest of the game. And then there were the times where it was "OK, everybody between this beam and that one.... you either make the loudmouth leave or everyone can go watch from the lobby..... They usually chased the loudmouth out. Unfortunately, there were times that entire sections needed to be tossed.

  4. Nope. I have a feeling it's really widespread. Don't know what can be done about it. I get why people may be reluctant to address it. People are scary. Either block em or encourage refs not to drop the puck till they stop/go. But I hate that coaches and refs have to stop games to address the stands. BTW....you are a clear problem when your own coaches are having to yell at you from the bench. I am leaving games so angry at people. We had such a horrible year and we should be beyond grateful. Let the kids play without your commentary. Let there be fun again.

  5. IIRC Rosters are not set for national bound teams until December 31. If the parents want to eat whatever costs are associated with jumping teams so be it... The players, parents, and coaches from the team you left might see it differently and hold it against you..... even if they would jump at the same offer.... Nothing new to see here, move along...... Or pass the popcorn,

  6. Now, we're turning the burners up to high. Mid-October, people realize that their team expectations were too high coupled with parent dreams being crushed make for great theater on here.

  7. Lebo played in the middle division and did excellent. That's the same division many of those Preds teamed played in. Whether they are AAA or not isn't my call to make lol.

  8. I think these were their records but I might have missed one and they might have had more than one team at some ages? U15 0-4-0 U16 2-1-1 U18 1-3-0 Their 11 team went 0-4-0 09 went 0-3-1 Pens Elite did fairly well in their divisions. Lebo 08 AAA won theirs and went 6-0-0.

  9. You know, it has always killed my how many parents can watch their kids play for 10 years and still not understand what hooking actually is. Of course, it's possible they do understand and they're just whining...

  10. I would be behind this idea. Would be even better if you had to go to some sort of hearing and be approved to attend any more games in the future.
