  1. They should add copper or aluminum so everyone gets a medal. It's shameful that one team gets excluded like that!!
  2. What do you expect from Libbo?
  3. Why would a player from Hershey be attending the MidAm camp? Hershey is in the Atlantic District as far as I am aware.
  4. And like they'll probably be doing again at the 2007 level after what transpired at the MidAm camp. Uh, oh! There it is. The kitty just got loose from it's constraints.
  5. So this would now become a "school team" which really isn't recognized/acknowledged by the school itself. Sounds a LOT like WPA High School hockey. Only a lot more expensive.
  6. And always at no risk to them. It's always someone else's money at risk.
  7. You know how that goes, use taxpayer money and tell everyone things are free. Now........ just wait for it.
  8. Can't wait to see this play out and how much is time is allotted for the Diversity initiative compared to how much is used for profitable programs.
  9. I didn't realize Carey Price was moving to Pittsburgh. That would be the ONLY way they aren't at the bottom.
  10. And my understanding is that in a lot of cases, the families agree with you. However, they are being forced to use the extra A in order for ownership/coach/gym owner to collect their extra A worth of payments.
  11. They've been competitive once. With the 02 team through 16U. Since then, I think it's safe to say that the most important thing on their list is filling rosters and in turn keeping the lights on and coffers full.
  12. Yes, and thank you for the verification. I knew it occurred but some folks are just in denial or afraid to get on the "bad side" of the Coach.
  13. So the Coach has never told players not to play amateur because he wanted to use his HS team as a full season team with tournaments and such included just like an amateur team?
  14. North Pitt is typically strapped for ice aren't they? 14U seems odd as they normally have more than enough for 4 teams or more but in recent years they seem to be shying away from more than one team at 18's and 2 at 16U. I also believe that the NA Coaching staff of Toe Blake, Scotty Bowman and Al Arbour put pressure on the players to not play amateur hockey.
  15. 16U AA this year is a race for second place. The SCIR 05 team won PAHL last season and they return the entire team.
  16. No, it means everyone that wasn't placed on one of these teams. SHAHA Vengeance Preds Esmark Renegades North Pitt Am I forgetting any 06 teams?
  17. The list of past winners is interesting. It's a shame that the Forge only lasted a couple of years.
  18. You have to be careful with how many times a plays another team. In league play, once you hit 4 times it often times begins to deteriorate either on the ice or in the stands. Or both.
  19. Shouldn't they be held to a higher standard than the pop-ups like Icemen and SHAHA and Appalachian Elite?
  20. So, let's look at this from the point of view of their description of themselves as best players, best coaches and best facility and how this has played out. The 2006 players were the first group to come out of 8U and into the 2 team model at PPE. So, in year 1 there would have been 30 skaters and 4 goalies that had the benefit of "the best of the best". I think what remains is 1 goalie and 3 skaters (maybe 4), so the question is what happened? If they had all the best players being coached by the best coaches in the best facility for 6 seasons in the prime development years, why did so many of those players not develop to the point of a higher retention rate?
  21. So is it true that in 22-23 the Rebellion will also be fielding Tier 1 teams? That seems to be the prevailing rumor regarding the wishes of the new management.
  22. They have teams playing in both PAHL and WNYAHL. I think each team gets to choose their own preference year by year as to which one they play in.
  23. Isn't that the industry standard? You start getting beyond 15's and add in an ice cut at the AAA level but don't you also start to see entry amounts around 2K+?
  24. To stay relevant, you would have had to actually have been relevant. Other than Hockey, I don't think any of their other sports can be considered relevant.
