What will happen to the good 2009 AA PAHL teams?

Esmark should do all of these kids a favor and tell them to move on now. Instead they are on social media asking for more players to show up. Heard it was 12 players and a few goalies most of which weren’t true AAA level players.

Didn't some Predators teams play AHF ?

Their Tier 1 teams played THF, the Black Bear Tier 1 league. I don't think any Preds teams played AHF.

Looks like at this point, Renegades/new vengeance will be the best 09 team most likely but playing PAHL 16uAA

SCIR (now Vengeance)
South Pitt
Lebo

These are the only 09 AA options. SCIR beat the soon-to-be Tier 1 09 Icemen at Mid-Ams. All three of these are good options after the dust settles this week. 09 AA teams are disappearing.

*Scratch Lebo. They have an 09 team but it won't be AA.

**Another edit. Lebo 09 tryouts are over. Anyone know what happened there?

If only the 09 parents were smart enough to realize the best option is to mix with AA 08s. U15 tier 2 is just silly

Rehashed a million times on here. Arguments both ways. If you’re a mixed team you exclude yourself from the best tournaments. If you’re a mixed team you will start to lose your best players. Those are just facts. Maybe mixed teams are better for development? There are arguments there, but the demand for mixed teams is decreasing every year. It’s just the way it is.

The level of play at a good u16AA tournament is certainly better than that of a u15AA tournament.

If USA jumped on board and held u15 tier 2 nationals it might change the landscape, but until then play on the best team you can and take two legitimate cracks at nationals

Maybe they are making preparations and developing for their 16U Major year and playing in 16U AA events?

Reminder that the Yetis are looking to field a 16U National Bound team and are having two free pre-tryout sessions (TOMORROW and Tuesday) for any '08 or '09 skaters.  Those dates are:

Sunday 4/21 from 2:30pm - 3:50pm

Tuesday 4/23 from 5:50pm - 7:00pm

The link to the Google form to sign up is HERE.

Some additional information that may help your decision:

- Their 16U team last year played A Major Black and had a great season overall.

- They were made up of almost all first-year ('08) players -- fourteen of them.  Most of those players should be coming back, as it was a tight-knit, friendly team.

- They are hoping to make the jump to AA National Bound.  Whether or not they do depends on what talent they get to replace the three or four '07s that aged out.

- If they are able to make that jump, they plan on having paid, non-parent coaches.

- There is no overlap because they have the last tryouts locally (4/26 to 4/28), so any high-level player looking for an opportunity to play at a higher level will still have that chance.

I am just sharing this.  Not looking to debate the organization, location, dates, coaches, etc.  If you or someone you know can use it, great.  If not, great.

There is in fact some overlap with Vengeance 16u NB and Mixed Year skates/tryouts.

No overlap with Vengeance 16U NB tryouts.  The Vengeance 16U NB team tryouts are 4/21, 4/22, and 4/24.  The Yetis tryouts are 4/26, 4/27, and 4/28.

There is an overlap with the non-NB Vengeance tryouts on 4/28, but their first tryout date (4/25) does not overlap.

Bro, we got it.  No need to post the same comment on six different topics / threads.
