zam
So Vengeance has 2 AA teams at 16u, (I'm assuming a 08 team and an 09 team?) And do they additionally still have AAA teams at 08 and 09?

On a different post someone said they ended up putting together an 09 team as well.
Hky05
Speaking of Vengeance 2009AAA-check out their MHR Averaging 11.3 goals against-3 goals for and 68 against in 6 losses
nemesis8679
Ouch. The 08's aren't looking so hot, either. Is getting beat up on really worth not just playing AA or A Major? Preds and Icemen look to have started out okay.
aaaahockey
Quick look - all the vengeance AAA teams look like trash except 13u and 10u (who play thf which is the ultimate faux AAA league). Esmark/stars looks pretty rough but slightly better their bantam teams (other than the team 2 they created for some dumb reason) are doing well and 18u ok. Their 16u and 15o teams look rough. Predators looks awful across the board with the exception of the 09 preds team. SHAHA both 08 and 09 teams look like they are doing decent. Icemen have three AAA teams from what I see and the 15 and 18s are doing well. The 16u team looks like it's doing awful. That being said they are also THF so I would be skeptical because it seems like that league is garbage. The discrepancy between talent from top to bottom is huge.

Carl Racki
Yes, another black bear money grab. A few years ago they had some good teams. Now it looks like they allow any wanna be AAA team in it no matter how bad they are as long as they a listed AAA. Do you think they turned down the 2009 Vengeance because they were to bad? I doubt it, I think they would take any teams money that calls themselves AAA.

That vengeance team might set a world record for negative goal differential based on what it is currently.

It will be interesting to see the MHR numbers when they develop through the season between the AHF/THF and PAHL teams.

I am not as familiar with the 09s as the 08s but I can't imagine any decent tier 1 wanting to play them at this point.

Maybe they have moved past it, but Blackbear was on an anti-MHR kick for a while and promoting their Karch Ranking system over MHR. AHF/THF was discouraging the reporting of statistics to MHR, so it remains unclear if the comparison you propose is useful or based on incomplete, and sometimes, misleading data. Ah, I forgot about that part. Another area of youth sports to monopolize. I am seeing most of their games entered in MHR so far. If you look at the records of the BB teams, they've all played a lot of games that have been recorded on MHR so far.

Pure speculation here, but I am thinking teams are reporting to MHR and Blackbear hasn't gotten the Western PA managers in line yet. Those coming out of a PAHL background are accustomed to self-reporting scores to MHR, so Blackbear cutting off the automatic reporting via Scoresheet hasn't changed the reporting practices in WPA teams yet.

I was actually looking at the Eastern teams out of Philly/NJ area. They are all reporting to MHR.
Corsi
I'm not 100% sure but I'm pretty sure that MidAm is still using MHR for invites to the District Tournament. As long as that is the case if anybody intends on competing at Districts/Nationals they still will need to report, correct?

dazedandconfused
This is the team that they will be vying to be statistically better (worse??) than. As others have mentioned though, don't see how much longer they'll be able to find willing opponents so they may struggle to get in 35 games or more. If anyone knows of a worse "AAA" statistical season then please enlighten us. https://myhockeyrankings.com/team_info.php?y=2017&t=2492 1

That 05 team averaged .745 goals per game and 8.3 against. The 09 Vengeance may have a chance at breaking that record with .5 goals per game and 11.3 against. nemesis8679
That is stupendous. How mad do you think the coach from the Hamburg Hawks was after that last game? How would any team even want to play them?

Even wilder I just checked the standings and there are two teams ranked BELOW that vengeance team. Wow. 1 1
