What will happen to the good 2009 AA PAHL teams?

I would assume Vengeance and "Pitt Stars" will both be mediocre AA teams at best.  I'm sure most of the players will be miserable throughout the season, but atleast they got the extra A.

I can’t imagine how much their dues will go up at Stars without the Esmark sponsorship plus having to buy all new jerseys, gloves, bags, shells, etc.

It's my understanding that Esmark hasn't given any money to that program in years, which has prompted the change.  No sense keeping the name if they aren't giving any money.

Maybe he plans to bring them in around mid-December.  Then he can cut his bottom players and leave them scrambling to find a home over Christmas.  He's done more than once in the past.

So it’s basically going to be a mostly AA team paying AAA prices and paying for hockey equipment to be flown on airplanes?

I think that might be the vengeance AA (Tier 2) team but I could be wrong. I don't think they are doing a tier 1 team.  Vengeance now being all the SCIR teams.  I also don't know if they are all doing PAHL or THF/AHF

Yes there is a 2009 Veng AAA team. Can’t speak to the roster, but they are scheduled to play in MI later this month in a AAA tourney.

yes this is what I heard as well. But heard it has people that were cut from AA team on it.

I'm familiar with goalie you're talking about, for whatever reason he and his family chose playing for an A Major team playing 16u while he was 14u. He'd be fine playing on any 09 AA team and probably most of the AAA ones around here. 

As I've said before, most teams around here have kids that can play at the next step up, and for a lot of different reasons not all of them do.
